1. Regulate the electrode phase sequence and it should be in counterclockwise direction when three-phase electric arc furnace is undertaking.
2. Reduce the external mechanical forces, avoid material collapse in the furnace and improper operation. Load large pieces of steel material in the lower level of the furnace and distribute the scrap evenly.
3. Avoid non-conductive materials in the scrap, don t put lime and other non-conductive objects gathering just right under the electrodes.
4. Attention to the lid position. Align the electrode columns with the roof hole and keep the electrodes column in parallel. Always keep the roof hole wall clean in order to avoid the accumulation of residual slag.
5. Maintain the furnace tilting system in good condition so the furnace tilting remain stable
6. Avoid clamping device holds electrode juction and nipple joint
7. Select good quality and machining accuracy nipple avoid a number of products mix.
8. Protect the tips of electrodes: prevent tips oxidation and embed foreign object on surface to cause the connection problem between the electrodes
9. Prevent the tips of electrodes and nipples thread been mechnically damaged before and during connection
10. Prevent slag or foreign objects embed the surface of electrodes and nipples: blow the surface by compressed air before connection.
11. Prevent the oxidation of the electrode perimeter consumption to enhance the sealing of the furnace in order to reduce air intrusion. Minimize the exposure time of the hot electrodes in outside of the furnace. Appropriate operation of oxygen.
12. Suggest to take spray cooling technology for melting furnace, it can effectively reduce the oxidant consumption of the surface of electrodes.
